airBand Deals for Fixed Wireless Business

airBand is adding a Baltimore fixed wireless network to its portfolio thanks to a deal with Accelacom.

Accelacom's President Christopher Camut will join airBand as its vice president of the Mid-Atlantic region. Accelacom employees will join airBand's team.

airBand, which currently offers services in Dallas, Phoenix and Houston, plans to acquire additional assets to further extend its reach in the fixed wireless market. The fixed wireless market is poised to reach $1.6 billion by the end of 2008, according to numbers from Research and Markets.
