Installs and maintains / repairs network and customer premise equipment for the purpose of delivering data and telephony services to customers via wireless or wire line solutions.
Essential Functions
20% Maintains network electronics, sites, ancillary equipment, vehicles, test equipment, and tools through routine and demand maintenance. Reports any deficiencies beyond control/capabilities to immediate supervisor.
40% Installs or reconfigures network elements, customer premise equipment, and/or circuits as required by work packages to manufacturer / company specifications. This position interacts with customers during the service delivery process.
10% Follows, and monitors compliance by others, to company standards, procedures, and policies. Includes Engineering standards, safety standards, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws & regulations. Ensures that work sites are neat and clean.
20% Uses logical troubleshooting techniques to rapidly identify and replace defective components during a system/ customer outage, impairment, and/or trouble ticket. This position interacts with customers during the repair process. Includes responding to call outs, repairing system electronics, and system power equipment. Ensure proper functionality of restoration supplies and practices for emergency use.
10% Reviews all engineering , site, and network documentation for accuracy. Notifies data owner of discrepancies. Accurately documents all maintenance(preventative and corrective), installation, deinstallation actions, circuit and equipment testing. Updates databases and completes report as required by the task. Completes other reports as necessary.

Prolonged standing or sitting, driving long distances, working extended hours without rest, lifting 50 pounds or greater, working at a computer terminal, climbing ladders, working on rooftops, walking long distances, and/or able to see colors.
Licenses / Certifications
Required Valid State Drivers License
Preferred Cisco CCENT Certification (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician)
Preferred Cisco CCNA certification
Working Conditions
The position works at network sites and at customer locations. The individual may be exposed to all weather conditions outside (heat, rain, snow, ice, cold, etc.), working with hazardous voltages, elevated areas (ladders and /or rooftops), and potentially could work in natural disaster/emergency response situations.
