Bonded T1 Dallas

Bonded T1′s in Dallas Can Be Expensive

A T1 line is the basic level of business-grade broadband service. It can be made of copper or fiber optic cable. That cable is rated for a set speed: 1.54 mbps. If your business requires speeds faster than 1.54 mbps, you can have multiple T1 lines installed. These lines are bonded to each other and are called bonded T1 service. Bonded T1 is available in increments of 1.5 mbps.

This type of service has its limitations. First, any upgrade in service requires the installation of additional cables. This can take weeks or months and be very costly, depending on how far your office is from the junction and what type of area the cables have to run through.

It also becomes increasing expensive on a monthly basis. Each T1 line costs the same to operate. This means that doubling your bandwidth will double your monthly bill. Because of this, some businesses choose to upgrade to a T3 line (which offers 28 times the bandwidth) instead of getting eight or nine T1 lines because they cost roughly the same. If you want a level of service between 12 mbps and 45 mbps, though, you don’t really have any cost effective options with wireline service.

Airband Offers Bonded T1-Equivalent Speeds in Dallas

With Airband, you can get the same reliable service at the same speeds, but for a fraction of the cost. This is because we use a fixed-wireless network to deliver Internet service to businesses. With fixed-wireless, the last mile isn’t run through cables, it’s run through a wireless signal that is received by a subscriber unit. This allows you to get the exact bandwidth that you want without having to pay a set amount per cable installed. Cost increases with fixed-wireless are much smaller.
