T1 Internet Service in Houston
For Internet access, a T1 line is the basic level of business-grade network service that connects your business location to the nearest on-net point of your ISP . It can transmit up to 1.54 mbps of data. To get T1 Internet access from a wireline ISP, a physical cable has to be available or pulled between your location and the on-net point. To increase your level of bandwidth, another T1 line will have to be installed in the same way and bonded to the first. This would give you roughly three mbps bandwidth. All increases in bandwidth require the installation of another cable, either another T1 (for increments of 1.5 mbps) or, for higher speeds, a DS3 connection, which transmit at roughly 28 times the speed of a T1, or approximately 45 mbps.
